The job:
In a hands-on role the Leading Hand Boilermaker is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day welding activities in a workshop while ensuring the team operates safely and to high quality standards. The team consists of two other boilermaker welders, trades assistants and general hands. This role reports directly to the workshop manager

Skills and requirements:

  • Australian Trade qualified boilermaker welder
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar leading hand or supervisory role
  • Mobile plant equipment experience
  • Clean drug and alcohol screen as well as ability to pass full medical
  • Must be Australian citizen or Permanent resident
  • Clean national police clearance
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, high standards of QC and QA.
  • Liaison with clients, building relationships and ability to upskill and manage a team

Our client specialises in mobile machinery, undercarriage and track frame rebuilding and repairs. The facility offers state of the art workshops including track bay area, roller and idler area, Track shoe rebar area as well as additional equipment on site.
