The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity now exists within a blue collar environment for a Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator to join a passionate team of individuals. This role will be based just out of the city towards the western suburbs of Melbourne with fortnightly travel to another site in the northern suburbs. (There is a car available for this travel) 
 
About the role:
The role reports to a Safety Manager and would suit either candidates who have been within a blue collar environment as a HSR (Manufacturing OR Supply chain) and are wanting to move into a safety role OR candidates who have a couple of years of safety already under their belts and are wanting to grow and develop. There will be daily support for whoever steps into this role as they navigate and learn the environment. 
 
Duties:

Generlist safety and wellbeing tasks, including: 

• Supporting with writing WHS policies and procedures
• Contribute to WHS investigations / Risk assessments 
• Ensure that new employees receive comprehensive health and safety induction and training
• Contribute to wellbeing initiatives for staff and volunteers

Skills & Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Demonstrated experience working in a generalist Health and Safety role OR HSR in a blue collar environment (Machinery etc.) 
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
• Strong consultation skills across all levels of staff
